The technologies are based on 25 years of academic research in the Microbial Physiology Research Group of Prof. dr. Lubbert Dijkhuizen at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands. CarbExplore Research acts as a fee-for-service contract research and consultancy company that offers its research solutions to the functional food and nutraceutical industry. The company works with the major food industries in Europe and the US.
